Experimental Ecology | Art x Science in Dialogue
Opening night Thursday, August 24, 2023, 6-9pm
August 25 – OCtober 29, 2023 at Kulturstiftung Basel H. Geiger I KBHG
APRIL 5, 2024 – NOVEMBER 24, 2024 AT KUNSTMUSEUM ST. GALLEN
The project Experimental Ecology offers a contemporary platform for collaborations between artists and scientists in ecology in the spirit of the famous E.A.T. – Experiments in Art and Technology, an initiative launched in 1967 pairing artists with engineers, thus enabling a new sense of exchange. Five teams develop novel ways to re-think our impact on the biosphere. The encounters and the resulting ideas were first presented in a symposium with workshops in fall 2022. Their resulting works will spearhead new ways to understand our relationship with our environment. These will be accessible for free to the public at exhibition and through a catalog.
